2 decent meteors

I managed to capture two decent meteors recently. One with a long trail twelve nights ago and one very bright one last night. The bright one may have been space debris burning up as it was very bright at the end.

 

 

Perseid meteors and birds on the river

Setting up my meteor capture camera last night I managed to capture 19 Perseid meteor trails in the course of the night.

The image below is a composite of all the captures looking NE from my garden.

This morning we walked down to the River Wear in glorious sunshine and were rewarded with a view of two Dippers, two Grey Wagtails and a Kingfisher all sitting on stones within yard of each other in the same area of the river at the same time. Not a common sight.  Of course I didn't have a camera with me!
