It's a warm damp and still Autumn morning and the hedge around the house is covered with dew laden spiders' webs.  The photo shows a one metre section of the top of the hedge. The sides were covered in webs too and the hedge is about 2 metres high and 30 metres long. That's an awful lot of spiders.
No wonder the birds spend such a long time foraging in there!
