Brambling, bird activity and stars
I haven't had much opportunity for nature observation since New Year.
The single Brambling is still with us. Two beautiful Song thrushes have turned up and the birds are celebrating the better weather by chasing each other with amorous intent!
I did manage to get out and look at the night sky a few days ago and managed the two images below taken with my camera attached to an astronomical scope. The first is the waxing moon and the second the M42 Nebula in the sword of Orion.
