Christmas walk

Went for a Christmas walk this lunchtime. Sunny and frosty and very cold. Despite this one of the gorse bushes on the old railway line was in full bloom.

Glorious winter day

Walked round the railway line track on Monday 11th Dec.
Frosty ground, no wind and warm winter sun with a cloudless blue sky.
I saw a flock of 30+ fieldfares feeding on berries in the hedgerow.
There was a very strong scent of fox hanging in the still air at one point. Maybe it had crossed the footpath there?
