Spurn point

We spent a few days on the Humber Estuary recently and on one of the days walked the length of Spurn Head.
The damage caused by last winter's storms means the spit is cut off at high water so we had to keep an eye on the tide. It was very hot. The flowers on the dunes were alive with a variety of butterflies including Large and Small White, Wall, Meadow Brown, Peacock, Small Skipper, Small Copper, Small Tortoiseshell and huge numbers of Common Blue of which we counted over 100.
