Cuckoo and Black Headed Gull

I went to Bollihope Common yesterday as I'd been told a cuckoo was showing there. I arrived and sure enough a cuckoo was calling. As soon as I set up my sound recorder it stopped and I didn't hear another peep for two hours!
However I did get photos and a recording of a black headed gull which took exception to my not feeding it my lunch.
